🎁 Why this matters → Anything done repeatedly should have a template so we waste no time constantly creating from scratch. It’s a highly effective way to produce quality work and superior results in less time.
🎥 The big picture → All prolific people have templates in place for the things they do repeatedly. For example….
Every week James Clear sends a 3-2-1 newsletter to 2 million people that follows the exact same template — 3 ideas from him, 2 quotes from others and 1 question.

2/ Apple’s genius.
Check out this remarkable iPhone ad that brings this mindset to life.
🔥Why this matters → Apple understands that stories drive behaviour, not product specs.
🧠 Mindset worth stealing → Sell the transformation, not the technology.
🎥 The big picture → This mindset can be inverted and used on ourselves when we are looking to create change. Don’t focus on the book, the course, the diet — focus on the transformation they will unlock.
🎬 Taking action → The brain believes what you tell it, so pick something that needs to change, draft your story of transformation and read it daily. Then observe what transpires.
3/ What this top 10 tennis player learned.
🧠 Mindset example → Get weird to be great.
This is Frances Tiafoe. He is the 10th ranked tennis player in the world. The more successful he has gotten, the more opportunities he has had to pick the brains of other great athletes.
This is the thing he has learned about what greatness requires. (40 seconds long.)
🔥Why this matters → We are hardwired to fit in — to be normal. But greatness comes to those who choose to be an anomaly.
🎥 The big picture → To be great, you have to love colouring outside the lines.
🎬 Taking action → How could you get your “weird on” to start creating your own unique path to greatness?
4/ What Jimmy Buffett left us.
🧠 Mindset example → To change your attitude, change your latitude.
The singer Jimmy Buffett recently passed away. Along with his music, he left behind a wonderful mindset. The best way to change how you feel is to change your environment.
🔥Why this matters → The environment we are in shapes us way more than we think — positively and negatively.
🎥 The big picture → A change in scenery can make all the difference.
For example, three months ago I moved my dad out of his house of 25 years and into a new apartment. He signed a one year lease. Two and a half months in, I found out he “felt trapped.” Over the next two weeks we got out of his lease (with no penalty), found a place he really liked and moved him in. It has made a remarkable difference to the quality of his life.
🎬 Taking action → Identify a toxic environment that you need to change? What’s the first step to making that happen?
5/ One of my favourite mindsets.
🔥Why this matters → This makes me think of YouTube. It started out as a video dating website that no one was interested in. DOH! But the video software they created had value. And that become YouTube. The founders stumbled to stumble upon a billion dollar business.
🎥 The big picture → Many of our greatest accomplishments have come on the back of our greatest failures.
🎬 Taking action → Do an autopsy of your life’s achievements. What stumbles lead to you stumbling upon something even better?
